Last night, I was chatting with an individual about a stretch of highway that offers iconic beauty and some amazing stops along the way. The stretch on Interstate fifteen between St. George, Utah, and Las Vegas, Nevada, are absolutely stunning. This hour and forty minute stretch offers a view of the beauty of the desert along with some great stops between these two cities.
Driving from Las Vegas to Saint George is one to add for your upcoming travels for the year. A few of these stops include some great parks, dining, and scenery that is unbelievable. Plus, the majority were all recommended to me by post-it notes. Starting in Las Vegas, you'll want to check out Viva Las Arepas. This South American dining spot will not leave you disappointed with the Empanadas and Arepas. Both were amazing, plus their roasted chicken is amazing.
After a great dining experience in Las Vegas, head north to Valley Of Fire. This state park, located just north of Las Vegas, offers incredible hiking and rock formations. The world renowned park offers a huge acreage of sandstone, visitor center, and various formations to see. The fee for entrance into the park is $15. Located just east if Interstate 15 in Nevada
The next portion of this drive is The Virgin River Gorge. This scenic drive is one to remember next to the Virgin River. The gorge was created by the river, and today, this drive is one to add.
The final stop is just east of Saint George, Utah. A stop at Zion National Park is worth every part of this drive. The park is everything you hear about. It's also massive, and you need to allow yourself at least three days. You can park at the Visitor Center and utilize the shuttle into the park.
There is also great dining outside of Zion with Whiptail Grill. Excellent Southwestern cuisine with great service. Plus, they offer indoor and outdoor seating. The Whiptail Burrito, plus their chips and salsa, were amazing.
This stretch of Interstate fifteen is one to add to Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Awesome beauty, along with great food in this area of the southwest. Add this stretch of the west for your upcoming travels in 2025. #ridingwithkurt
