The other day, I gave an excellent group a ride from St. George, Utah. We discussed their amazing town and especially Zion National Park. If you haven't been to St. George or Zion, then you need to add this town and National Park. Plus, Zion National Park was a post-it note recommendation and stop two years ago.

Saint George, Utah is located about an hour north from Las Vegas. The drive from Las Vegas is absolutely amazing through the Virgin River Gorge. The town of Saint George offers great dining, shopping, and several national parks nearby. Zion National Park is located about forty minutes east of Saint George. The park has a visitor center with parking around the center. From there, you can be shuttled into the park. There are several different stops throughout the National Park, with each one offering different levels of hiking. The shuttle throughout the park offers a great history of the park and very informative information about the various areas. The Riverside Walk Stop is one of the hiking areas that I truly enjoyed. The hike takes you along the North Fork Virgin River throughout the gorge. I found the visitor center enjoyable as well. Outside the park are several great shoos and dining experiences. One dining spot is the Whiptail Grill outside the park. Incredible Southwestern cuisine with a great ambiance as well as service. For hotels, I stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Saint George. The hotel was very nice with very comfortable beds and rooms. Breakfast was available, and the service by the hotel was excellent.

The town of Saint George is great and one to add for discovering southwest Utah. Zion National Park is one you'll want to add when looking for great national parks. Add a stop to this great area of Utah on your next western United States adventure. #ridingwithkurt
