Attending a live College Football game is always a fun experience in the Southeast. Especially the tailgating prior to the game which fans get ready for the big game that day. A couple of years ago a group provided me a post it note recommendation with a tailgating experience unlike anything else. If you are a fan of college football and tailgating, then you will want to add this to your lists.
The Grove is located at the University of Mississippi and on Saturdays during College Football Season this is ground zero for a tailgating experience that has been going on for generations of fans who have attended Ole Miss. The various tents that are set up by the loyal fans have some of the most incredible food and even some have it catered. The party starts early in the morning and continues until everyone heads to Vaught Hemingway Stadium for some Ole Miss Football. There is also the Walk of Champions prior to heading to the stadium where you cheer on the Football team as they are led by their head coach Lane Kiffin. The game day experience while attending the game is awesome and will make you realize how big SEC football is. The games are fun and watching the half time performance by the Ole Miss Marching Band will offer additional great memories.
The University of Mississippi Football team is currently undefeated at 5 and 0 and will be hosting Washington State this weekend. I generally stay in Tupelo, MS where the prices are significantly lower than that of Oxford. This is a awesome tailgating experience and one to add when looking for great football experiences in the southeast. #ridingwithkurt
