The other day, I gave a guy a ride who was originally from Salt Lake City. We discussed the city as well as the state of Utah. I had an amazing experience with Utah last year as well as the year before. It's an incredible state that offers serene beauty of the State along with great national parks, food, and other amazing aspects.
Salt Lake City has an amazing vibe, but there are a couple stops that are a must. The first is The Great Salt Lake, which is the largest saltwater in the Western Hemisphere. You can draw your aspirations in the sand while taking the incredible beauty of the lake and mountains. For dining experiences, check out Moochie's incredible sandwiches, especially with the Meatball and Philly Cheese Steak.
Another amazing stop is Green River. Only 45 minutes from Arches, this town is a postcard for route 66. For stays, I stayed at Super 8 by Wyndham. Great hotel as it offered comfortable rooms plus a great restaurant nearby. Tamarisk restaurant offers amazing food, but the Burrito is where it's at. For experiences nearby head to Arches. This park is incredible, and with over 2000 arches and plenty of hiking, this area is a natural wonder. Make sure you make reservations for the park. One other park to check out after Arches is Valley of the God's it's fantastic, and the views along Highway 163 are superb.
Southwestern Utah offers an incredible town with another National Park close by. Saint George is an amazing town and offers great hotels and dining. For stays, i stayed at the Ramada and nearby the hotel. Cafe Zupas offers great sandwiches, soups, and salads. Zion is incredible and is definitely a must stop when visiting this area. The visitor center offers parking while the shuttles take you to the various stops in this amazing National Park. Allow yourself at least 3 days for the park. For dining next to the park, check out Whiptail Grill. Incredible Southwestern cuisine.
Utah is an incredible state and should be added as a future travel destination. I have received more post-it notes for this state and am looking forward to heading to those destinations in 2025 along with other places. #ridingwithkurt
