Over the past week I have had plenty of great discussion about various areas that I have traveled to. One of these places was part of a post it note journey I took about two and a half years ago. This area of southwestern Utah is absolutely stunning with a National Park that offers exceptional views from the base of this canyon.
Zion National Park offers amazing hiking, views of the high walls of the park, quiet moments with the Virgin River, a great visitor center and gift shop, and memories to be made. You enter the park from the western entrance and from there you head to the parking lot by the visitor center. You can visit the visitor center an get all the information for the various stops throughout the park. There are a total of eight stops in the park and it is only accessible by the shuttles. While on the shuttles they provide information about the history of the park and each stop. There are a total of eight stops and each one is different from the other. The stop that i did was the last stop and it was the River Walk trail. I found this walk and trail very relaxed and easy with great picturesque views of the Virgin River and the surrounding beauty.
Outside the park there are plenty of great shops and restaurants. One restaurant to check out is the Whiptail Grill. They offer exceptional southwestern food. The Chips and Salsa is a great start to your dining. For entrees I had their Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas that were very tasty along with the sides of rice and beans. For stays I stayed in Saint George, Utah at the Ramada Inn which is only forty five minutes from Zion National Park. June is a great time of month to visit add a stop to Zion National Park for your next Utah adventure. #ridingwithkurt
