If you're looking for a great restaurant that offers a large beer selection and a mix of German and Southern cuisine, then head to Von Elrod's Beer Hall & Kitchen.  A rider who worked for them recommended that I stop by again and check out the new menu back in the spring. Today, I stopped by there today to get at great taste of Von Elrod's. The menu offers a variety of shareables,  sandwiches,  BBQ,  brats, and other delicious culinary treats.  For the appetizer, I began with their Pretzel served with brown mustard and cheese sauce. The Pretzel was excellent, very soft, with a great crust along with the cheese sauce and brown mustard it was a great appetizer.  For the main attraction, I went with their Bratwurst topped with brown mustard,  Carmalized Onions,  saurkraut,  and a toasted bun. The Brat was absolutely delicious, and the toppings added a great balance of flavor.  Served with fries that were very good as well. The service was superb, and the ambiance is very community oriented with family style seating and a laid backed environment plus an incredible patio. Located in Germantown, you can enjoy great food and see some great attractions in that area. Definitely add Von Elrod's as a great place to get a drink and good food with a great location. #ridingwithkurt
