The other picked up a great guy from the Optimist named Joe he told me all about it and told him I'd definitely check it out. I have heard alot of great things about the Germantown eatery, but if you are looking for class, with a great raw bar, and excellent seafood, then the Optimist is your place for a great dining experience. The second you walk in the ambiance is spectacular along with a great hostess the welcoming is spot on. Immediately you are served their bread which is a taste of what there is to come. I started with a variety of their oysters, which were excellent. My two favorite ones were the Little Bay Beauties from New Hampshire and Minigret Nectar from Rhode Island. I was then treated to Hamachi Crudo, which is yellowtail with red pepper flakes, scallions, crispy, and nectarines. This was no joking matter how excellent of a prepared fish, which is one of my favorites. For entrees, I had the Scallops. Scallops are one of my favorite seafood items. This dish was amazing. There is so much depth of flavor with each bite. The saltiness of the seasoning along with. The sweet corn relish mad for a dynamic combo. Excellent service and extremely hospitable with a nice vibe The Optimist should be on your radar for your next seafood dining experience in the Germantown and Nashville area.
