Growing up here in Nashville, the city was limited with dining options and things to do. There are a few places that you can reminisce about the old areas and stops in Nashville. Two such areas are Green Hills and Hillsboro Village. I have gained plenty of great recommendations for both areas that have been recommended to me by post-it note. Here are two old school stops to add for great breakfast experiences in Nashville.
Hillsoboro Village is an area that is located about ten minutes from downtown Nashville. The area offers plenty of great shopping and restaurants in the block area. One dining experience that is a staple in the Hillsboro Village is the Pancake Pantry. The restaurant has been flipping pancakes for over 50 years, and the food is worth the wait. The omelets, the pancakes, and various breakfasts, plus dishes and lunch items, will not leave you disappointed. Additionally, they have a second location now located downtown on 4th Avenue that offers the same great service and food. The Hillsboro Village location is open from
There is also one donut stop in Green Hills that dates back to some time. The neon sign above the restaurant is as legendary as the donuts. The Donut Den is a classic, and the donuts will not disappoint. They are open seven days a week and offer exceptional donuts from 6:00 am until 9:00 pm. The Donut Den was opened in 1977, and from that time, they have never disappointed all that stop by to pick a donut or few.
Other historic dinining options in Nashville that are legendary consist of Sperry's (founded in 1974), Jimmy Kelley's (founded in 1977), Monell's (founded in 1995), Arnold's Country Kitchen (founded in 1982), Prince's Hot Chicken (founded in the 1940's), and The Loveless Cafe (founded in 1951). This history of Nashville and the food scene is an epic as the music scene plus its history. Add a stop to one of these awesome and historical dining stops when visiting Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
