The city of Nashville offers plenty of great historical buildings and sights. The other day I was telling a group about one of the historical hotels located on 6th Avenue North. The hotel was actually Nashville's first five-star hotel and has tremendous historical significance to the music city, plus they have a post it note.
The Hermitage Hotel was first opened in 1910 as the cities first luxurious hotel. The hotel offers a beautiful lobby that is fully decorated for Christmas. There are two restaurants at the hotel that consists of Drusie and Darr for fine dining and the Pink Hermit as their coffee shop. The hotel offers 122 rooms and suites that are beautifully decorated. Even the men's bathroom is popular voted as the best bathroom in America in 2008. In 1920, the hotel was ground zero for the Woman's Suffrage Movement which was known as the War of the Roses. Today there is a commemorative area that shows the history about the vote that was passed and how the lobby served as an area for those to celebrate the Woman's Right to Vote that was passed on August 18,1920.
The Hermitage Hotel is less than a ten-minute walk to Broadway and Germantown. It is also right across the street from TPAC and The State Capital. It is only eighteen minutes from the Nashville International Airport by Uber. Additionally, it is a short Uber ride to West End, East Nashville, 12th Avenue South, Green Hills, and Belle Meade. Look at adding a stop at the Hermitage Hotel for an incredible stay, with amazing culinary dining, the amazing history, and the beautiful ambiance plus awesome Christmas decor. #ridingwithkurt
